BREAKING!!! Ex-Deputy Senate President Ibrahim Mantu Is Dead

A former deputy Senate president Ibrahim Mantu has died in a hospital in Abuja following a brief illness.

According to his family, he died on Monday night. Mantu was aged 74.

Before his demise, Mantu was a member of the board of trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Mourning him, former Senate President Bukola Saraki wrote in an Instagram post, β€œWaking up to the news of the passing of my dear friend, the former Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ibrahim Mantu, is truly heartrending. The last time I saw him on July 31st, he was in good health and great spirits.

β€œAt this difficult time, my heartfelt prayers are with his family, his friends, and his associates across the nation β€” whose lives he positively impacted in various ways.

β€œMay Almighty Allah grant Senator Mantu a place in Aljannah Firdaus. May He also give his dear family the strength and fortitude that they need as they mourn this devastating loss. Ameen.”

In 1999, Mantu was elected senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Plateau Central Constituency ) under the platform of the PDP and was appointed Deputy Senate President in 2000.
