The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday interrogated a former governor of Nasarawa Tanko Al-Makura and his wife Mairo Al-Makura, over alleged breach of public trust and misappropriation of billions of naira by his administration.
Al-Makura was governor from 2011 to 2019. He now represents Nasarawa South Senatorial District in the Senate.
It was gathered that the couple was released from the EFCC headquarters in Abuja at 10.30pm.
