A former president and group chief executive officer of Transcorp Plc Valentine Ozigbo has won the Peoples Democratic Party governorship primary in Anambra.
The primary was conducted on Saturday at the Prof Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Center, Awka.
Head of the electoral panel Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu announced that Mr Ozigbo polled 62 votes to win the primary.
Obiora Okonkwo placed second with 58 votes while Senator Uche Ekwunife came third on 44 votes.
Meanwhile, a faction of the party held a primary at Paul University, Awka and elected Senator Ugochukwu Uba as the governorship candidate.
Anambra governorship poll is billed for November 6.
