Awosika Remembers GTBank Co-Founder Tayo Aderinokun On 10th Death Anniversary

Former chairman of First Bank of Nigeria Ltd Ibukun Awosika on Monday paid tributes to the former managing director and chief executive officer of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) Plc Tayo Aderinokun.

Mr Aderinokun died on June 14, 2011, in the United Kingdom. He was aged 56.

Awosika said in a post on Instagram on his 10th death anniversary that the UNILAG-schooled banker’s legacy at GTBank live after him.

“OLUTAYO ADERINOKUN. Co-Founder/MD GTBank. Founder Day waterman College. 10 years since you left. Your Good works live after you. You are greatly missed!!” she wrote.

Aderinokun co-founded GTBank in 1990 alongside Fola Adeola and served as deputy managing director for 12 years between 1990 and 2002. He then became the managing director, a position he held until his passing.
