In view of the 2021 Anambra gubernatorial election, Hon Azuka Okwuosa, the foremost Anambra governorship candidate for the All Progressive Congress, continues to receive endorsements from notable individuals and organisations all through the state. To many, this clearly implies that he is stirring up confidence in his ability to deliver excellent governance in the state.

The association of traders in the main market, Onitsha has joined the extensive list of supporters who are rooting for the experienced aspirant. Members of the association have expressed their strong belief in the person of Hon Okwuosa. It was gathered that they are particularly pleased with his entrepreneurial prowess which cuts across the advertising, and the oil and gas industries. In their opinion if he has the capacity to excel in these industries while creating thousands of jobs for Nigerians, he would be able to replicate such results as the governor of Anambra state.
Speaking with one of the leaders of the association who is a popular textile trader, he hinted on the intention of the association to throw its full weight behind Hon Azuka Okwuosa. “We have listened to him, heard and read about him, and we are convinced that he is a sincere man who can take Anambra to the next level”, he said. “Previous administrations have done their bit, it is time for Okwuosa to take us higher”, he continued.
Hon Okwuosa’s position on infrastructural development and proposed advancement of commerce and industry is a welcome development. They have described it as a promise they are willing to hold on to, because of the integrity of the candidate in question. The Onitsha market, which is the largest market in West Africa, will become a greater phenomenon with the support of a well versed governor like Hon Azuka Okwosa. “This is the kind of development we are eager to see”, one of the traders said.
The leaders of the association have urged other Anambrarians to ignore the façade that has been put up by some political parties within the state. They believe that Okwuosa is the kind of man Anambra needs at this point in time. They are encouraging the electorate and all stakeholders to give Hon Okwuosa the support he requires to get into the government house in November.
