Rev Esther Ajayi Returns To The UK

Philanthropist and cleric Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi has returned to the United Kingdom from Nigeria after being away for more than three years.

Her church, Love of Christ Generation Church (Cherubim and Seraphim), is based in London.

Ajayi said she returned to Nigeria at the end of 2017 with the view to regularising her immigration status in the UK.

Her critics, however, said she left the UK over tax evasion.

Ajayi met several religious leaders in Africa, United States and Israel during her time away from the UK, using the opportunity to fraternise and improve her acceptance rating.

In an attempt to end the cold war between the C&S and Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Ajayi held a joint revival for both churches at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos in 2019.

Announcing the return of the woman popularly known as Iya Adura to the UK, the church wrote in an Instagram post on Friday, “With much gratitude to God for his Mercy and Grace, please join us in welcoming our dear mother (Iya Adura -Mummy Esther Ajayi) back home to England after a successful working holiday in Nigeria.

“You arrived like the breeze and the Nay Sayers were dumbfounded! The Lord is indeed your shield.”

She will be formally received on Sunday, June 13 at a thanksgiving service.

Ajayi has been a major sponsor of Ovation carols.

Chairman of Ovation Media Group Dele Momodu took to Instagram to also invite worshippers to the thanksgiving service.

In 2015, Ajayi’s church moved into a newly renovated Cathedral in Clapham, London, where Ajayi now pastors a congregation with hundreds of worshippers and thousands of social media followers every day.

A gigantic Cathedral of Love of Christ Generation Church C&S has been constructed in Victoria Island, Lagos and will be dedicated in September.
