Kaduna State Government has disowned an account that is passing off as the governor Nasir El-Rufai on Koo, an Indian-based app that recently debuted in Nigeria.
“Malam El-Rufai has not signed on to Koo. As such, any account currently on that app purporting to be him is fake and should be treated as such,” a statement on Thursday by his spokesman Muyiwa Adekeye read.
“The general public is advised to kindly disregard the impostor with the Koo handle @nelrufai and account name, Nasir El-rufai.”
Koo gained attention in Nigeria following the suspension of Twitter by the Federal Government.
Presidential aide Bashir Ahmad had also distanced the president from an account known as @mbuhari on Koo.
