Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu on Thursday knocked President Muhammadu Buhari for describing IPOB as a “dot in a circle”.
Mr Kanu, in a tweet, assured the president that although IPOB seemed like a dot in a circle, would be free someday.
Buhari had said during an interview with Arise TV aired on Thursday, “That IPOB is just like a dot in a circle. Even if they want to exit, they will have no access to anywhere.
“And the way they are spread all over the country, having businesses and properties, I don’t think IPOB knows what they are talking about.”
Responding, Kanu wrote, “In his pre-recorded AriseTV interview, the pathetic passing off as BUHARI described Biafra as a ‘dot within Nigeria’
“Well, hear this: The Earth is also a dot within the galaxy. But it is still as great a dot as BIAFRA shall soon be amongst the comity of nations.”
The IPOB leader also said Buhari’s alleged refusal to take responsibility for the insecurity in the country was evidence that Nigeria is a “failed state”.
Buhari had in the interview urged governors to do more on improving security in their states.
