Some of the supporters of Hon. Bashir are also insisting that their principal should contest the 2023 Governorship election as he represents the youths and have a strong voice.

One of the supporters, who gave his name simply as Musa, said Bashir has all it takes to move Sokoto forward and being a youth, he enjoys large support from the people.

“I personally would love to see him (Hon Bashir) run and win the Office of Sokoto Governor in the 2023 gubernatorial election. Here is a man with great vision for the state, I sincerely wish him well”, he said.

As the momentum for the Sokoto 2023 continues to gather in full force, Hon. Bashir is believed to be a man to beat. He is brilliant and highly educated.

Among the aspirants who are believed to have shown interest, he is the most formidable among them with a clear-cut vision for Sokoto, if he emerges governor, said a resident who craved anonymity.
