Aisha Buhari with Ibrahim Attahiru widow
First lady Aisha Buhari on Sunday paid condolence visits to Fati Attahiru widow of the late chief of army staff Lt.-Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, Igbere TV reports.
Attahiru and 10 other military officers died in a plane crash in Kaduna on Friday. They were buried at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja on Saturday.
The first lady visited the bereaved family at the Flag Staff House, Niger Barracks, Abuja.
Mrs Buhari was accompanied by her children and the minister of women affairs Pauline Tallen among others.
“The death of the Late Chief Of Army Staff and the other military officers aboard the ill-fated aircraft is a monumental loss to their families and the Nation at large,” she said in an Instagram post.
