Nigerians on Twitter have begun comparing the minister of communications and digital economy Isa Pantami with the former minister of finance Kemi Adeosun.
Pantami has been facing backlash on social media for some days over alleged links to Boko Haram. The allegations were based on communication he had with the late Boko Haram founder Muhammed Yusuf. But the minister has denied sharing values with the terrorist group.
A certain man named Abdulaziz Abdulaziz on Twitter spurred the comparison between Adeosun and Pantami on Friday after calling for fairness in passing judgement on Pantami.
Some social media users accused Mr Abdulaziz of spearheading calls for Adeosun’s removal in 2018 over forgery. According to them, Pantami should suffer the same fate as Adeosun.
