The Imo State Commissioner of information, Hon. Declan Emelumba, has declared that the state government has identified the source of the attack on the state’s Correctional facility as well as the corresponding attacks on the state’s police headquarters and the army formation at Ukwuorji.
Last night on his AIT Program outing with Ijeoma Osamor on her popular ‘Democracy Today’ program, the Imo State Commissioner for Information, Hon. Declan Emelumba authoritatively stated that the Easter Monday attack was sponsored by a Former Imo Governor.
According to him “The Easter Monday attacks in Imo was sponsored by a former Imo State Governor, he doesn’t want peace in Imo. For example, he once came into Imo to breach peace in the state and even after the Easter Monday attack, he called for the federal government to declare state of emergency instead of condemning the attack”
He further revealed that the same source was instrumental to the attack at the Ehime Mbano police station.
His interview followed the one that the state governor, Hope Uzodinma, gave where he debunked that IPOB was responsible for the attacks but firmly insisted that a former governor of the state, who is not happy about the current events in the state, is responsible.
