Federal Ministry Of Education Launches BESDA To Tackle This Issue Of Out Of School Children

In keeping with President Muhammadu Buhari’s roadmap to whittle-down the number of out of school children, the Hon. Minister of State for Education, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba today, 1st April, 2021, officially launched the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Speaking at the occasion, *Honourable Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba* emphasized that for every serious economy to be viable, much investment must be channeled into its education sector.

The Honorable minister, reiterated the commitment of the Federal Government in ensuring that education is made accessible and also affordable to the poorest of the poor and those at the rural areas.

According to him “The Federal Government will not rest on its oars until it put paid to the problem of out of school children.

Playing host to the Honourable Minister of State for Education and his entourage, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Wike lauded Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba and his team at the Federal Ministry of Education for the efforts and the passion that they have put into the Education sector in order to change the narratives.

Governor Wike while commending the minister for not politicizing the lives and future of Nigerian children, pledged his continuous support to the Education sector by ensuring that 30% of the state’s budget goes to Education.

The Honourable Minister of State for Education Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba was accompanied by the Coordinator of Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA), Hajia Haruna Abubakar among others.
