The Senator representing Abia South senatorial zone, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, has once again spoken out against what he perceives as the calculated injustice of the Federal government of Nigeria against the people of the Southeast.
The Abia State born senate minority leader and former deputy governor of Abia State, informed IgbereTv that all the seaports in the old Eastern region are moribund, starting from Warri port to Calabar and Port Harcourt ports. According to him, this is a deliberate ploy to keep the Southeast down.
Senator Abaribe further made it known that “all these are happening because the Federal government has refused to work on these seaports so that ships can pass through there. Because of this, someone who is trading in Onitsha have to travel to Lagos because of his goods.”
Moving forward, Senator Abaribe faulted the Federal government for refusing to regard herdsmen as terrorists. He made it known that the Federal government was quick to call IPOB that do not move with any gun terrorists but on the other hand, refused to tag herdsmen who are moving around with AK-47 and kill indiscriminately as terrorists.
