Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Friday received the first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH), Yaba.
His social media aide Jubril Gawat confirmed this in a tweet.
He said: “The #Covid19Lagos Incident Commander and Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu today received his Covid19 Vaccine this afternoon at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH), Yaba.”
Mr Sanwo-Olu had on Wednesday said the state would start rolling out the vaccines during the weekend.
The first consignment of 507,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines provided by the Federal Government arrived in Lagos on Tuesday.
