Lola Omotayo-Okoye, wife of singer Peter Okoye has celebrated her father Oladipo Omotayo on his posthumous birthday, Igbere TV reports.
The mother of two shared pictures from her father’s burial on Instagram on Wednesday.
She said she misses him so much and it hurts.
“Wishing my dad a very Happy Birthday in Heaven. I miss you so much it hurts,” she wrote.
Mr Omotayo died on December 16, 2020.
Lola broke the news on Instagram saying, “In the early hours of this morning, I received some very sad news that brought my family’s world to a grinding halt.
“My darling Papa’s passing has hit us all very hard, and while we know that he is in a better place, the truth is that there is no easy way to handle the grief that comes with the loss of a loved one.”
He was buried on February 25.
Lola had on December 13, 2020 shared a throwback picture of herself with mum and dad.
She said it was a time when life was easy and less complicated.
