Rival factions of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) clashed on Thursday morning in Obalende area of Lagos.
Gunshots were reportedly fired in the clash, sending residents and passersby into panic.
The police have arrived the scene to restore calm, a tweet by the police complaint response unit read.
The NURTW in Lagos is headed by Musiliu Akinsanya alias MC Oluomo.
