Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State Udo Ekpenyong has died, an official of the Akwa Ibom government has said.
The official who pleaded anonymity said Mr Ekpenyong died on Monday in Uyo of suspected health complications arising from COVID-19, Premium Times reports on Tuesday.
The deceased was a former commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs in Akwa Ibom.
