Again, Hoodlums Attack Lagos Firemen

Hoodlums have attacked three officials of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, acting head of the agency Margaret Adeseye said on Monday.

Mrs Adeseye said the firemen were injured and a fire engine of the agency damaged in the attack which occurred on Sunday.

She expressed displeasure over the incessant attacks on firefighters in recent times for unknown reasons.

The officials were prevented from attending to a fire incident at Nmani Street, Dopemu Agege, in Orile Agege LCDA, Lagos, she said.

Adeseye explained that it took the intervention of a team of policemen from Alabo Police Division before normalcy was restored at the fire scene.

The injured firemen were treated at Agege General Hospital, she said.
