Being With Ajimobi For 40 Years Was A Privilege, Says Wife

Florence Ajimobi widow of the late former governor of Oyo State Abiola Ajimobi on Sunday recalled her marriage which was consummated in 1980.

The former first lady said her marriage was filled with bliss, adding that she was thankful to have been married to Ajimobi.

“40 years ago, I signed the dotted lines to a lifetime commitment and unconditional love in matrimony between myself and my husband, @abiolaajimobi at Mapo Hall, Ibadan.

“Our marriage was filled with love, laugher, mutual respect and peace. We were indeed a perfect team and I thank God for the privilege of being wife to this wonderful man for 40 years,” she wrote.

Ajimobi, 70, died in July from COVID-19 complications at First Cardiologist and Cardiovascular Consultants Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The wife also contracted coronavirus but she recovered.
