Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has vowed to get justice for the Olufon of Ifon Oba Israel Adeusi who was murdered by gunmen on Thursday.
The monarch was returning from a meeting with some traditional rulers when he was attacked at Elegbeka in Ose Local Government Area.
He died from gunshot wounds.
Mr Akeredolu, who on Friday visited the affected area where the monarch was killed, described the incident as a sad occurrence.
“The security agencies, especially the Nigeria Police, have already been directed to fish out the perpetrators of this heinous crime.
“On our part as a government, we shall give whatever it takes to unravel this; these criminals who have wrought this sad day on our state shall not go unpunished,” he said.
