In a statement made available to IGBERE TV, personally signed by Senator Egwu on behalf of Ebonyi PDP National Assembly Caucus, the lawmakers asked Barrister Nwebonyi to focus on his new party, the All Progressives Congress, APC and stop parading himself as PDP Chairman since the National Working Committee of PDP dissolved the Former Executive Committee of the party in the state since Umahi’s defection.

Senator Egwu noted that since their dissolution, PDP has inaugurated a Caretaker Committee chaired by Chief Fred Udeogu and has since resumed duties.
