Nineteen out of 27 members of Imo State House of Assembly have voted to impeach the speaker Chiji Collins.
Mr Collins accused of financial impropriety, high handedness and gross misconduct among others was removed from office by the lawmakers on Friday.
The lawmakers immediately elected Paul Emeziem from Onuimo Local Government Area as the new speaker.
