An aide-de-camp to Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki on Thursday collapsed while the governor was giving a speech at his swearing-in ceremony.
The ceremony was held at the tennis court of Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
The aide whose identity had yet to be confirmed was behind the governor when he slumped. He was, however, moved by his vigilant colleagues for medical attention.
The governor was at the time giving his appreciation speech after being administered the oath of office by the state chief judge Justice Esther Edigin.
It was gathered that a female para-military officer also collapsed in the course of the ceremony. She was revived.
The former commissioner for health Patrick Okundia reportedly assisted in reviving the ADC.
