Don’t Allow Rahama Sadau’s Photo Threaten Public Peace, IG Tells Kaduna CP

Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu has intervened in Kannywood actress Rahama Sadau’s dress controversy.

The IGP in a letter dated November 3 and obtained by IGBERE TV on Saturday wrote to the police commissioner in Kaduna stating that a complaint had been made by Lawal Gusau concerning Rahama’s dress causing blasphemy against Prophet Mohammed.

The letter signed by the principal staff officer to the IGP Idowu Owohunwa read, “Attached is a copy of letter dated November 3 received from Mal. Lawal Moh’d Gusau on the above underline subject.

“I am to convey the directive of the Inspector General of Police that you treat pro-actively with a view to ensuring that the development does not result to any act that could threaten public peace and security.

“The Inspector General of Police further directs that you furnish him with updates, accordingly.”

Rahama, 26, had on November 1 posted backless dress pictures of herself on social media.

Shortly after her post, critics knocked her while some of her supporters spoke ill of Prophet Mohammed in the process.

Rahama later deleted the pictures and apologised for the heat her dress might have caused.
