The house of a former speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara in Jos, Plateau State has been looted.
Hoodlums defied the curfew in the state to loot Dogara’s residence located near Jos University Teaching Hospital.
It was gathered that the ex-speaker’s apartment was attacked around 9am on Sunday.
Policemen and other security operatives enforcing the curfew shot to disperse the rampaging youths without success.
Items such as tricycles, furniture, electronics, and other valuables were moved out of the house, an eyewitness told the news media.
Across the nation, angry youths have been raiding government agencies and homes of some high profile individuals in search of COVID-19 palliatives.
