Abia Local Govt Election Holds On December 18; How To Apply For ABSIEC ADHOC Job

The Abia State Independent Electoral Commission has released the requirements to apply for Adhoc electoral job.

The election is scheduled to hold in 17 LGAs and 292 wards of the state on December 18, 2020.

The commission said election campaigns will end on 16th Dec. 2020 while submission of final list/Nomination forms by Political Parties is on Thursday 10th December, 2020.

Read the requirements below;

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to perform Adhoc electoral duties

1. Returning Officer (LGA):
A minimum of First Degree recognized University and not below the rank of a Director or its equivalent in the Public Service is required.

2. Collation Officer (Ward):
A minimum of First Degree from a recognized University and previous experience n electoral duties is required.

3. Supervisors (Ward):
A minimum of first Degree from a recognized University and previous
experience in electoral duties is required.

4. Presiding Officers:
A minimum of OND, Advanced NABTEB or equivalent is required. Previous experience in electoral duties is a plus.

5. Poll Clerk:
A minimum of WASC, SSCE, NABTEB is required.

6. Poll Orderly:
A minimum of FSLC is required.

All applications must be submitted to the ABSIEC Office in the Local Government Area of residence.

Applicants also must be resident in their respective wards where they choose to serve.

Applications must be submitted not later than Friday 30th October 2020.
