Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu and running mate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate Godwin Obaseki has lost the election in his local government area Etsako West, Igbere TV reports.
Results from the local government were announced at 3:50am on Sunday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The PDP got 17,959 votes while the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 26,140 votes.
Former governor of Edo State and ex-national chairman of the APC Adams Oshiomhole is also from Etsako West.
Meanwhile, Obaseki and Shaibu got zero vote at Oshiomhole’s polling unit.
