General manager of Vanguard Newspapers Gbenga Adefaye has been appointed as provost of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) Ogba, Lagos.
Chairman, NIJ Governing Council Olusegun Osoba stated this in a release on Monday.
The appointment of Mr Adefaye will take effect from September 1, 2020, according to the statement.
Adefaye, a two-term president of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, succeeds Gbemiga Oluleye who has served out his term meritoriously.
The NIJ is a diploma-awarding monotechnic established in 1963 by the International Press Institute.
