The Anglican Priest and his 10-year-old who were abducted in Kaduna in the early hours of Saturday, August 22, by unknown gunmen, have regained their freedom, IgbereTV reports.
Reverend Meshach Luka and his son were kidnapped while serving at the Priest’s station in Kakura II Kujama Missionary Archdeaconry.
They were released on Monday, August 24, two days after they were abducted.
Announcing the news on Facebook, HACFO, Hausa Christians Foundation posted:

Revd. Meshach Luka is a Hausa Christian from Ikara LGA of Kaduna State that works with the Anglican Diocese of Kaduna. He was abducted together with his son while serving at his station, Kakura II Kujama Missionary Archdeaconry.
To the glory of God, they were both released on Monday, 24th August, 2020.

The foundation had asked for prayers for the father and son immediately after they were abducted.
However, the foundation did not state how they were found, neither did they give further details.
