Mamman Daura a nephew of President Muhammadu Buhari was reportedly flown abroad for an urgent medical treatment on Wednesday.
According to a report published by SaharaReporters and monitored by IGBERE TV, Mr Daura was said to have been flown to the United Kingdom.
The report read: “Daura, 79, was said to have been flown in a private jet to the UK on Wednesday after exhibiting respiratory difficulties with symptoms similar to coronavirus since last Friday.”
Daura made the trip despite the ban imposed on international flights as one of the ways of curtailing further spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria not been lifted.
Igbere TV recall that First Lady, pAisha Buhari made a similar medical trip to the United Arab Emirates, defying the ban.
Presidential sources refused to speak on the reported trip by Daura, stating that he is not a government official.
