Six governors of the north-east zone met President Muhammadu Buhari and security chiefs at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Monday, Igbere .
The meeting was also attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Boss Mustapha.
National Security Adviser Maj-Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd) and the Chief of Staff to the President Prof. Ibrahim Gambari also attended the meeting.
Igbere TV reports that Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum led his colleagues – Ahmadu Fintri (Adamawa), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Darius Ishaku (Taraba) and Mai Mala Buni (Yobe) – to the meeting over insecurity in the region.
Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin, Chief of Army Staff Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Ibok Ibas were equally at the meeting.
Also present were the Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu, and the Director General, Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi.
Director-General, National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Ahmed Rufa’i, Minister of Defence Bashir Magashi, and the Minister of Police Affairs Mohammad Dingyadi also attended the meeting.
