In Nigeria today, several communities are yet faced with severe challenges in areas of survival and care, which is one amongst the multiple motivations behind the noble humanitarian activities of Dr. Mercy Uwakwe. She frontlines this humanitarian campaign through her Foundation and organization, the Mercy Uwakwe Foundation and Mercy Wave Conglomerate respectively.
According to reports, Princess (Dr.) Mercy Uwakwe is set to engage the third phase of her project tagged “Mercy Wave Palliative Outreach”, with a view to alleviate the sufferings created by the recent Covid19 pandemic lockdown. The team of Mercy Wave Palliative Outreach will visit the 13 wards of Bende Local Government Area in Abia State.
In a post by the Founder and CEO of Mercy Uwakwe Foundation and Mercy Wave Conglomerate respectively, Princess Dr. Mercy Uwakwe expressed appreciation to God Almighty for the responsibility saddled upon her to be an agent of hope and care for humanity. She further cited some phrases in the Bible that sustains and upholds the necessity of loving, caring and sharing.
The visit will witness the distribution of palliatives to households and individuals, as well as supports to help improve their lives, which will include scholarship opportunities for children and youth, foodstuffs, clothings, enlightenments, as well as awareness on healthcare guidelines on the preventive measures against the global novel coronavirus.
Princess Dr. Uwakwe and her Mercy Uwakwe Foundation Team, under the Palliative Outreach Programs has touched and affected so many lives and households positively, especially during its recently held Outreach across the 13wards of Igbere LGA in Abia State, but are yet seeking the the support of organizations and well-meaning Nigerians in its envisioned initiative to alleviate poverty and improve lives.
It’s previous palliative outreach took place on the 6th of July 2020 and was led by the Royal traditional ruler of the community, HRH Eze Uwakwe Ukaegbu, the “Ofufu 2 of Amaofufu” in Igbere Community. The distribution of cash and other food items which included bags of rice, Cartons of Indomie, Bags of Beans, spaghetti, etc to residents of Igbere community kicked-off at the Royal Palace of HRH Eze Uwakwe Ukaegbu, the Father of Princess Mercy Uwakwe, who is the founder of Mercy Uwakwe Foundation. The outreach later continued at Amofufe Autonomous Community Hall, in Igbere, Abia State.
The Director General of Mercy Wave Foundation Prince Emenike Ukaegbu, while speaking to newsmen confirmed the undaunted interest of the Foundation in supporting programs and initiatives to touch lives, alleviate sufferings and ease the economic challenges created by the dreaded pandemic in Nigeria and especially in Abia state.
However the Residents of Igbere and Bende LGA in general are already anticipating the humanitarian gestures and forthcoming palliative outreach of Princess Dr. Mercy Uwakwe and her Team, as they pray and commend the consistency of their benevolence across communities in Abia state.
