Director of Operations at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mohammed Umar, has been named acting chairman of the agency.
A top official of the commission confirmed that Mr Umar has taken charge of the agency in the absence of Ibrahim Magu, Igbere TV reports.
Magu was suspended on Tuesday by President Muhammadu Buhari to face allegations brought against him.
