The kidnappers of Pa Defwan Dariye, father of the former governor of Plateau State, Joshua Dariye, have demanded the sum of N100 million as ransom.
A source close to the former governor confirmed this to The PUNCH on Tuesday.
“The former governor is not happy about the kidnap of his father for the second time. They (kidnappers) have made contact with the family and they are demanding the sum of N100 million as a ransom,” the source said.
Pa Dariye was kidnapped last Thursday at his residence in Mushere Community, Bokkos Local Government Area of the state.
Police said they are still searching for the nonagenarian who had first been kidnapped in February 2015.
