Newly appointed Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, has resigned as Chairman of the Savannah Centre for Diplomacy, Democracy and Development (SCDDD), Igbere TV has learnt.
According to him, he was surrendering his appointment to avoid disputes of passion.
This is a normal procedure considering the fact he is now holding a political Position now, he also took this step to avoid backlash from different channels in the country.
He sent the development to the Board of Participants who after their deliberation, with one voice, designate Mallam Abidu Yazid as the new Chairman for Savannah Centre for Diplomacy, Democracy and also Development (SCDDD).
“I would love to once again praise Prof. Gambari for his vision in developing this Think-Tank that has actually made tremendous payments to the sustenance of Freedom as well as Advancement through useful advocacies considering that 2014,” the statement added.
