Min of health advises health workers to take reasonable precaution while attending to patients in Isolation facilities

The Minister of Health Dr Osagie Ehanire at the #PTFCOVID19 media briefing on Monday emphasized on the need to further improve and increase isolation facilities because testing and finding more infected persons goes with a strategy to accommodate them, IgbereTV report.

Dr Ehanire said ‘Since most of the #COVID19 cases are imported, everyone entering Nigeria will be required to go into a mandatory supervised 14- days isolation. There are isolation and treatment centres allover the country to meet the security, privacy and comfort needs of all persons.”

The Minister also advised health workers to take reasonable precaution when attending to all patients in the facility as well as approach patients with relevant symptoms, with a high index of suspicion as well as observe universal precaution in infection prevention and control.
