NCDC Corrects Error In Confirmed COVID-19 Cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has apologised for an error in two new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Bauchi which was reported on Wednesday night.

In a tweet on Thursday night, the agency said the reported cases were repeat tests for previously confirmed ones.

β€œYesterday, we erroneously reported 2 new cases in Bauchi. Following further review, we can confirm that these were repeat tests for previously confirmed cases,” it said.

β€œWe apologise for this error and remain committed to ensuring transparent and accurate reporting of test results.”

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 288 following 14 new ones reported on Thursday night.
