Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, and her husband, JJC Skillz, have been arraigned before a Chief Magistrates Court in Ogba, Lagos, for hosting a birthday party on Saturday in violation of a lockdown imposed to tackle coronavirus.
This was made known by the Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, who also explained that they were arraigned for breaching the Lagos Infection Diseases Regulations 2020 (the Regulations) which prescribes a jail term of one month or N100,000 fine or both for persons found guilty of hosting gatherings or flouting the lockdown order.
Funke was arrested on Sunday for organising the party even though she had earlier apologised for her actions.
Other guests at the party including fellow actress, Eniola Badmus and singer, Naira Marley were also advised to report to surrender themselves to the police.
