Following the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus, Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State a few minutes ago led his team to inspect the state of the art Isolation Centre built in order to curtail the virus which is currently ravaging the globe, Igbere TV reports.

Inspecting the tastefully furnished facility at the Unity Square Abakaliki, Umahi charged the state’s health officials to expedite action towards completing the remaining portions of works in the facility.

Recall that when the virus was first reported in Lagos, Umahi quickly mobilised for the establishment of the Centre to quell the scourge.

The Ebonyi State Coronavirus Centre comprises several beds, Ventilators, Disinfectants, Sprayers, and hosts of other Medical equipment.

While addressing medical personnel at the Centre, Governor Umahi reiterated his administration’s commitments in ensuring that the scourge is not found in Ebonyi State, let alone containing its spread.

Igbere TV gathered that the NCDC officials will be in Ebonyi today to set up the Virology Centre that was built by Governor Umahi and handed over to Federal Government for the fight against Lassa Fever. That centre will be kitted today and ready to become the 6th centre in Nigeria where Corona Virus test is run.
