Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has laid his late wife, Evelyn, to rest.
The former Bayelsa East lawmaker alongside his family buried Evelyn on Saturday.
He shared photos from the funeral on Twitter, saying: “’We are made from earth, and we return to earth.’
“Today, we buried my beautiful wife, and mum to our beautiful children and grandchildren, Evelyn Murray-Bruce.”
Murray-Bruce lost his wife to cancer on March 20.
They were married for 41 years and have four children with several grandchildren.
“Cancer is real, but it shouldn’t be a death sentence – awareness, and early detection and treatment are key to survival. I miss her so so much. I’m broken,” Murray-Bruce had said in announcing her death.
