Private hospitals should not be given permission to conduct COVID19 test - Shehu Sanni

Shehu Sani, a former senator, in a statement on Wednesday stated that private hospitals should not be given permission to conduct Covid19 test.

He said, “Private hospitals should not be granted the permission to conduct #Convid_19 tests: – It’s impossible for most of our private hospitals to honestly and responsibly disclose to the public the real status of their paying patients/clients.”

In another report, Shehu Sanni donated nose masks to a custodial centre of the Nigerian Correctional Service in Kaduna state and some religious organisations.

The beneficiaries are Bishara Baptist Church, Hadeja road, Kaduna; Alsudani mosque, Rigasa still in Kaduna and the custodial centre.

Speaking after the donation, the former lawmaker said: “If Coronavirus had come during electioneering period, political leaders would have distributed free and customized sanitisers, masks and ventilators.”

He accused Nigerian elite and political leaders of neglecting public health care system over the years” and we are now in the days of reckoning”. He encouraged people not to trivialise personal hygiene and asked the government not just to tell people to”wash their hands and wear masks with empty stomach”.
