Senator Dino Melaye has commiserated with Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, on the death of his mother, Hauwau Bello.
The governor’s mother died on Sunday aged 101 after a brief illness.
Tweeting in reaction late Sunday, Melaye said no mother was ‘old enough to die.’
“May the soul of the mother of Governor Yahaya Bello rest in peace. May God grant the governor and the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. No mother is old enough to die. My condolences,” he said.
Melaye also lost his mother, Comfort, last year at age 70.
Despite being political adversaries, Bello commiserated with the former Kogi West senator over the incident.
