No need to shut down schools and religion houses over coronavirus - Osagie Ehanire

According to IgbereTV reports, the Minister of health, Osagie Ehanire, in a statement has said there is no reason to shut down schools or any place of worship in the country following the outbreak of Coronavirus.

He made this known on Friday in a press briefing on the coronavirus outbreak in Abuja.

Mr Ehanire said the awareness program by the government is ongoing smoothly.

He also disclosed that the federal government is following up with 61 contacts of index case and none has shown any sign of infection and that government is reaching out to other people who might have also come in contact with them

According to him, there are five laboratories for COVID 19 testing across the country, as he urged citizens to discourage spread of information that can cause panic.
