Nigerian Student In China Volunteers To Fight Coronavirus

A Nigerian student has volunteered to fight the deadly coronavirus known as COVID-19 in China, China News Service.

Olatoye Babatunde, 24, said he was touched by the commitment of doctors handling the crisis.

Mr Olatoye measures the temperature of people living in his community, Nanjing, East China’s Jiangsu Province.

The student, who works as a record keeper in his community, began his duty as a volunteer on February 6.

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) tweeted about the development on Friday.

COVID-19 was first discovered in the Chinese city of Wuhan.

More than 1,800 persons have died of the disease across the world.
