JUST IN!!! IPOB Members Were Smoking Indian Hemp at Nnamdi Kanu's Parents Burial, But We Ignored Them - Police

The police command in Abia State has accused members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who attended the burial of the parents of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu of smoking Indian Hemp.

The commissioner of Police in Abia State, Mr Etim Okon, made this known in an interview with Igbere Tv on Tuesday.

According to him; “They were doing their thing, police were there full and they were doing their thing, we never touched anybody, although some of them were dancing while some were taking Indian Hemp all in the presence of our men.”

“The police were just looking at them with no legal action taken because they were order not want to do anything that will truncate the peace being maintained at the ceremony.”

Nnamdi Kanu lost his father Eze Israel Kanu, four months after his mother, Ugoeze Sally Kanu, also died.

Although the IPOB leader lost his mother in August 2019, the development was only announced recently.

HRH Eze Israel Kanu and Ugoeze Sally Kanu who died last year were laid to rest in Afaraukwu, Umuahia, Abia State, on February 14.

Present at the burial were Imo Traditional Rulers, former presidents, Olusegun Obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan and wife, Patience Jonathan, Cross River state governor, Ben Ayade, Founder and Director of Igbere TV News, Emeh James Anyalekwa, among other top dignitaries.
