The Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers on Friday, February 14, arrive Afaraukwu, Umuahia, Abia State, for the burial of later Eze Israel Kanu and Ugoeze Sally Kanu.
The traditional rulers arrived Afaraukwu, for the planned burial of parents of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
Eze and Lolo Israel Okwu Kanu, who happened to be the parents of Mr. Kanu, died last year.
Igbere TV gathered that in Onitsha, there have been announcement to the effect that markets would not be open for business, as a mark of honour for Kanu’s parents.
Meanwhile, a source within Afaraukwu has disclosed that security agents were patrolling around the home of the IPOB leader, most of who are on mufti.
