Some neutral expressions you should use to encourage gender equality

The fight for gender equality continues to grow daily with women proving to be able to do what men can do and even better at it.

In order to further encourage gender equality, there are some words that should be used that combines both male and female.

The United Nations Women, a part of the United Nations fighting for Gender equality and Women Empowerment drop some language to use to encourage equality.

They are,

mankind – human kind

chairman – chair

congressman – legislator

businessman – representative

policeman – police officer

landlord – owner

boyfriend/girlfriend – partner

The UN Women advise that you use your language to fight gender bias with gender-neutral expressions!
