The overdue 33K that finally came for NYSC Corp Members

In the early hours of Friday, Corps Members all over the country were elated with joy as the new minimum wage of thirty three thousand (33,000) naira finally got to them after the long wait.

Many of them, who have seen their bank alerts took to the social media space to express their excitement as they applauded the Government for finally increasing the pay from 19,800.

Prior to this, the National Youth Service Corps NYSC management had a few days ago declared that corp members should expect the new minimum wage but majority of them were skeptical owing to the fact that it was not the first time they were getting such report.

According to report, the suppose increment of pay has been on since 2019 but it never came as many corps members went on to declare the allowance ‘Audio Allowance.’

However, while the new minimum wage of 33k is now a reality, many corp members especially those with less than a month to pass out from the scheme are hoping areas would be paid.
