Judiciary: The Exceptional Transformation Agenda Of Gov Ugwuanyi (Photos)

The transformation agenda of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s administration in the Enugu State Judiciary is no doubt exceptional.

Some of the recent remarkable interventions by his administration aimed at repositioning the third arm of government include the massive construction of 14 new Court Buildings and Open Registries in the Judicial Divisions and Magisterial Districts across the state.

Interestingly, the State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Priscilla Ngozi Emehelu, recently described these landmark feats, which represent yet another unique good governance experience in the state, as “unprecedented infrastructural development that has not been witnessed in the entire South East geo-political zone” and “the largest single intervention in infrastructural development in the Judiciary of Enugu State for over 20 years”.

The pictures attached are the ongoing Magistrate Court building (8 Court Halls with Chambers) at Nsukka Magisterial District and High Court complex of two Court Halls and Open Registry at Nsukka Judicial Division, which are 90 percent completed.

It is worthy of note that the Magistrate Court buildings for Enugu East, Enugu North and Enugu South Magisterial Districts of 16 Court Halls and Chambers with an Open Registry all located at Enugu North Magisterial District, and other Court Buildings located at Agbani, Awgu, Obollo Afor, Udi, Enugu-Ezike, Oji-River, Ikem, etc, including the first ever Enugu State Customary Court of Appeal Headquarters complex, being constructed by the Ugwuanyi administration, are also nearing completion.
